How it works

From a schedule file to a live Gantt in three steps

If you already have a plan in Microsoft Project, upload it. If not, start from an empty Gantt.

Create a Gantt

Upload an MPP file (processed within up to 24 hours) or create an empty Gantt with a start date and an expected finish. Anyone allowed to edit schedules creates it.

Update activities and dependencies

Add activities, groups and milestones, update progress and actual dates, and define who depends on whom.

Calculate and get alerts

Click calculate critical path, and get alerts on delays and low float, plus a summary, risks and recommendations from the AI.

What is inside

Everything a project manager needs from the schedule

From a static chart to a management tool that shows where the project stands.

A clear Gantt chart

Activities, groups and milestones in colours that separate regular, critical and completed, in a year or quarter view, with dependency arrows.

Dependencies and critical path

Four dependency types with lag, and a CPM calculation that marks the activities where any delay pushes back the project finish.

Delay alerts

Delayed, critical not started, critical in progress, low float and possible delay, with a button to update the activity.

AI insights

A summary, risks and recommendations, in the viewer's interface language, updated automatically once a day or after a change.

A summary of all projects

Status, critical and delayed activities, milestones for the coming week and a timeline for each project, with search and filters.

Excel, print and email

Export the activity list to Excel, print, and distribute a progress update by email to a list, with work days and holidays in the settings.

Critical path

Know which activities really hold the finish date

From the dependencies the system builds each activity's early and late start and finish and its float, and shows a critical path tab with the critical dependency chain.

FSSSFFSF
  • Lag from minus 30 to 60 days, so a negative number allows overlap.
  • The calculation takes already started activities into account, by actual date and percent complete.
  • After every change to the Gantt a notice shows that the critical path is not yet updated, with a button to update it.
Alerts and insights

What needs attention today, in order of urgency

Up to 12 activities are shown at the top of the screen, above metrics: critical activities, delayed ones, overall progress, days to finish and milestones.

  • Delayed: the finish date passed and the activity is not complete, with days late and percent complete.
  • Critical not started: a critical-path activity that starts within 30 days.
  • Low float and possible delay, by the days left until the activity becomes critical.
  • AI insights summarise, point to risks and suggest recommendations. Before a decision, check the activities themselves.
Free and subscription

Start free, and pay only for the Gantt you update

There is no company-wide subscription. Each Gantt, that is each project, has its own subscription from one to 12 months.

Always free

  • Viewing the Gantt and all its tabs.
  • Creating a Gantt: an MPP file or from scratch.
  • Adding up to 7 activities to a project.

With a Gantt subscription

  • Adding and updating activities without limit, including progress and actual dates.
  • Dependencies, critical path calculation and AI insights.
  • Excel export, update history and progress distribution by email.

When the subscription expires the Gantt stays viewable and the interactive tools are blocked. Prices are shown on the purchase page. About the subscription

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about schedule management

What is asMade schedule management?
A Gantt for every project: activities, dates, dependencies and progress. The system calculates the critical path, alerts on delays and on activities that endanger the finish date, and produces AI insights that summarise the state of the schedule. There is also a summary screen of all of the company's Gantts.
What is free and what needs a subscription?
Without a subscription you can view the Gantt and all its tabs, create a Gantt (from an MPP file or from scratch) and add up to 7 activities to a project. A subscription opens unlimited additions, updating activities, dependencies, critical path calculation, AI insights, Excel export, update history and saving settings. A subscription is per Gantt, from one to 12 months.
How do I create a Gantt?
In two ways: upload an MPP file prepared in Microsoft Project (up to 50MB, processed within 24 hours) and get the activities, dependencies and baseline, or create an empty Gantt with a start and an end date and add activities by hand. You can replace the file with an updated one.
Which dependencies and critical path are supported?
Four dependency types: finish-to-start (FS), start-to-start (SS), finish-to-finish (FF) and start-to-finish (SF), with a lag from minus 30 to 60 days. One click on calculate critical path builds for every activity its early and late start and finish (ES, EF, LS, LF) and its float, and marks the critical activities.
Which alerts do I get?
Up to 12 activities that need attention, from most to least urgent: delayed (the finish date passed), critical not yet started and starting within 30 days, critical in progress, low float (0 to 3 days) and possible delay (float of 4 to 10 days and a planned finish within 60 days). Critical path and float alerts are based on the latest calculation.
What do the AI insights do?
They summarise the state of the schedule in three parts: summary, risks and recommendations. The AI receives a numeric summary of the state (activities, delays, critical path, progress) and not the project file, and the insights are written in the viewer's interface language. They update automatically once a day or after a change to the Gantt. The risk check range is 30 days by default and can be set from 1 to 365. Before deciding, check the activities themselves.
Who may view and edit?
Viewing: everyone who belongs to the project (main manager, project manager, works manager, supervisor or an assigned user), unless viewing was withheld in the project permissions. Editing and creating a Gantt: by default the main manager and the project manager, and this can be changed per user.
Can I take the data out of the system?
Yes. The Gantt has an Excel export of the activity list and printing of the screen. With a subscription you can also set an email distribution list for the ongoing progress update, and the summary screen has search and a status filter.
